Our classes focus on strong technical training, proper body placement, muscle strengthening, posture, coordination, dance terminology, and building each student’s confidence and self-esteem. Our family has been part of SKDS for 16 years, and we couldn’t imagine a better dance studio. My older daughters danced here for 14 years, and my youngest is now in her 8th year. Throughout the years, they have not only grown tremendously as dancers but have also gained confidence, discipline, and lifelong friendships.
The teachers truly care about each dancer and are dedicated to helping them reach their full potential. "Both of my children attended SKDS as toddlers all the way up through High School. Ms. Susie, Ms. Lois, Ms. Maritza and the rest of the teachers at SKDS provided a positive experience that made everyone feel more like a family than just a dancing school. My children, my wife and I made life long friends during our time there.
While my oldest daughter focused on other interests in High School, my younger daughter was inspired by her dance experience with Ms. Susie. She started branching out and her life became all about dance!! She attended the dance program at UCVTS for High School, has traveled the world taking numerous dance intensive programs and is now a Senior in college majoring in dance. Within the next 12 months, she will be looking to find a position with a dance company as a professional dancer!!
