For 29 years, Susie Karlik’s Dance Sensation has been Union, New Jersey’s top dance studio, where dancers are inspired to shine, grow, and create lifelong memories.

Dance I, II, II
A fun introduction to ballet and tap! Through music, movement, imagination, and props, children build coordination, learn beginning dance steps, and develop confidence while dancing and playing together. For ages 2½–4½.
Pre-Combo
A fun combination of ballet and tap that builds coordination, rhythm, and foundational dance skills. Children learn basic dance terminology and begin counting music to develop timing and musicality. For ages 5–6½.
Ballet
Ballet builds a strong foundation for all forms of dance. Students develop proper technique, body placement, strength, and posture through barre and center work while learning ballet terminology and building confidence.
Jazz
Jazz combines strong technique with energetic styles inspired by music videos and Broadway. Students build flexibility and strength while developing skills through jumps, extensions, and a variety of dynamic dance movements.
Tap
A fun introduction to ballet and tap! Through music, movement, imagination, and props, children build coordination, learn beginning dance steps, and develop confidence while dancing and playing together. For ages 2½–4½.

Tap
Tap builds rhythm, timing, and musicality while teaching proper technique and terminology. Students master classic steps like the time step, buffalo, and maxi ford while putting combinations to music the SKDS way!
Hip Hop
Hip-hop introduces five foundational styles: locking, popping, breaking, house, and ’90s hip-hop. Students learn the techniques and movements that define each style while exploring the origins and foundations of hip-hop dance.

For more than 30 years, Miss Susie has helped children and teens discover a love of dance in a welcoming, encouraging environment.

As the owner and director of Susie Karlik’s Dance Sensation since 1998, she brings decades of experience, professional training, and a passion for helping every dancer build confidence, skills, and a love of performing.

From first-time dancers to experienced performers, Miss Susie makes every student feel welcome, supported, and excited to dance!
