Susie brings over 30 years of dance experience and over 20 years of professional teaching experience to her school. Since 1998, she has been the successful director/owner of Susie Karlik’s Dance Sensation. Susie competed throughout the tri-state area for over 10 years in dance and modeling competition. Being a dedicated teacher & choreographer, she has passed on her love of dance, talents and experience to her students. She has received recognition and awards for her beautiful choreography in all forms of dance. Susie is known for her ability to work well with children and teens.

 

In her early years she trained at a local dance studio and furthered her dance education at the New Jersey School of Ballet and Broadway Dance Center in NY. She has trained under some of NY’s top master teachers, Frank Hatchett, Pam Chancey, Charles Goddertz, Germaine Salsberg, Chio and Peff Modelski to name a few. On two separate occasions, she choreographed for Walt Disney Worlds Magic Music Days. Susie also choreographed several dances that were showcased on Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas cruise ship. Over the years her students have performed at Great Adventure, Walt Disney World, NJ Nets Halftime Show at Continental Airlines Arena, Holiday Parades, FundRaiser Events, Festival on the Green, 2003 Fall Fashion Extravaganza, Paper Mill Playhouse and Regional & National Dance Competitions and Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas cruise ship, the 2006-2009 Philippine Fiesta at the Meadowlands Expo Center, Filipino Independence Day Celebration and the Feast of St. Anthony at the Church of Assumption.

 

Susie is a Guest Judge in the tri-state area for popular competitions on the competition circuit! She also received certification from the New Jersey Dance Theatre Guild (NJDTG) in Ballet & Tap. Susie has also been certified to teach dance to children, teens and adults in all areas of dance and exercise classes offered at the studio. Miss Susie has brought her travelling dance program “Dance TimeIs Fun Time” to the Community Nursery School in Roselle Park as well as other pre-school locations.
